The Low NOx Universal H-Series heater comes with industry-leading thermal efficiency and conforms to all current California air emission standards. The reduced NOx emission makes it the perfect choice for the environmentally aware pool owner. Its hydraulic performance manages to save energy by minimizing the pump's circulation time. It can increase an 800 gallon tub or pool's temperature by 30 degrees in just under an hour. Other improvements include insulated Fire Tile combustion chambers, corrosion-resistant heat exchangers and stainless steel burners. This system traps heat unlike any other form of insulation, delivering the greatest amount of performance from every BTU. With with the LED control panel, it keeps track of heater performance for additional convenience and comfort for minimum effort. The ignition system provides reliable lighting and dependable operation with simple a press of a button. The innovative forced draft system keeps circulating air throughout the combustion chamber to get rid of all outdoor weather variables affecting heating performance, like wind conditions, eliminating the necessity to use a high-wind stack.

Selecting the correct size H-Series heater:
For Your Swimming Pool
Determine the pool’s surface area in square ft.:

MODEL | SURFACE AREA |
Using this table, find the surface area which is equal to or just a bit bigger than your pool’s surface area. At the left of the number is the perfect H-Series model that should fit the selected area. For installing indoor pools, divide the surface area of your pool by 3. This table is based on a temperature increase of 30°F, 3.5 mph average wind speed and elevation of no more than 2,000 ft. above sea level. |

For Your Spa or Hot Tub
Determine the spa's capacity in gallons (surface area x average depth x 7.5).
The table below lists the required time in minutes to increase the temperature of the hot tub/spa by 30°F. Using the table, find the column with the tub/spa size in gallons that is nearest yours. Pick the desired time to increase the hot/spa temperature by 30°F. On the left, you'll see the appropriate H-Series model.
The table can be modified for other temperature increases. For example, if you want a 15°F rise in temperature, just divide the time for a 30°F rise by 2 (using the ratio 30/15).
Note: Heat that is lost and/or absorbed by walls of the spa and other objects will increase the the heating time.
Spa sizing is based on a covered and insulated spa. Remember to cover the hot tub or spa when it's not in use to minimize evaporation and heat loss.

Buying and using a pool cover is strongly recommended
A pool loses heat from evaporative cooling. That's the cooling effect when water evaporates from the surface of the pool. It accounts for about 75% of a pool’s heat loss. And, a pool cover can reduce the heat lost from a pool by approximately 50%, and directly translates into a 50% reduction in your power consumption. That's a dramatic savings in your fuel bill.
In addition to lowering your energy bill, a pool cover will provide a valuable safety by preventing people from falling in accidentally, conserving chemicals, and reducing the load on filter systems by preventing debris from entering the pool.
