The NRC1111 uses a dual heat exchanger, a combination of copper and stainless steel heat exchangers. The stainless steel component captures all residual heat from the exhaust temperature which preheats the incoming water before it passes through the main copper heat exchanger. The result is a dramatic reduction of carbon dioxide with an increase in efficiency level to over 93%. You also benefit with lower exhaust temperatures, so more affordable PVC venting can be used. A PVC adapter is already built in to simplify installation.
