As advertised. Straightforward replacement for our older Navien CR-180A Tankless Water Heater.
SAFETY FIRST If you do not have plumbing and gas installation experience, call a pro! Not worth risk of water or gas issues that could damage your Home or your Family!
Advantages: Used original wall hanging bracket from old heater.
Exhaust size was 2" verses 3" on original installation made for easy replacement. Used same holes through wall to install. Easy to seal with new sealing rings provided in box when screwed to old rings underneath.
Disadvantages: Compared with the CR-180A, the Natural gas inlet on bottom of case has moved from right to left side. This required a new and longer flex gas line. Had to find a non-big box store that stocked the required line. (3/4" ID X 24")
This is the second house that I've installed a Navien tankless water heater in; I loved the proformance of the first one over 9 years. After moving installing the NPE 180A was one of the first things that I did.
Advantages: Built-in Recirc Pump get hot water to the far end of the house when I need it.
Disadvantages: Always the cost but sometimes you have to pay a little more to get the best
