Description Details
The polyphosphates in the Aqua-Pure bind calcium and magnesium minerals, which are the main components of hard water. This prevents them from precipitating and building up on the appliances water-touching metallic surfaces.
The AquaPure should be installed on the cold water supply line of the water heater or other appliance. It will extend the life of downstream water-using appliances by reducing scale deposits and corrosion.
The Polyphosphates are in tiny concentrations of 2 to 3 ppm. In addition to preventing the scale build-up, polyphosphates also prevent corrosion by forming a thin, protective layer on the metal surfaces. Since the Aqua-Pure uses FDA CFR-21 compliant materials, it can be used with drinking and water for cooking food.
